Loyola college, a Catholic Minority Institution was founded by the society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1925, with the primary objective of providing university education in a christian atmosphere for deserving students

irrespective of caste and creed. UGC has elevated Loyola college to the status of "college of excellence ".NAAC's re-accreditation score of Loyola college is 3.70 out of 4.00 CGPA . Loyola college has continued to remain for the past 15 years, in the list of top 10 college in India ranked by India today.

Department Of Commerce (Shift II)

The Commerce department shift II has been providing quality education since 1998 when B.com was started . the department teachers the syllabus through learner -centered teaching methods such as case studies ,role plays fields visits and project work. the department has 30 faculty members and 1800 undergraduate students. with the help of the faculty members and students body the commerce forum the department has achieved many laurels.
